The CIPP has formulated a set of policy recommendations aimed at supporting Indonesia's goal to deliver an internationally competitive renewable energy manufacturing industry in Indonesia. These include:

- Establish an RE Industrial Strategy that is adopted in the National Industry Strategy (RIPIN) as the framework to develop high quality renewable energy industry in Indonesia supporting the energy transition agenda;

- Establish priority programs to create a market of significant capacity based on the IFA of JETP, including transmission and renewables;

- Revisit the formulation of the minimum percentage of the local content and periodic adjustment by assessing against pre-agreed indicators— including the market size and current domestic supply chain capacity.

Further explanation on policy recommendations for LCR policy can be found in Chapter 8, specifically under the sub chapter 8.1 on Local Content Requirements.
