Will JETP and CIPP plans and objecives be integrated into national development plans such as the Medium Term Development Plan?
Comprehensive Investment and Policy Plan (CIPP) is a strategy document that has been agreed to be the output of the JETP Joint Statement issued on November 15th, 2022. JETP is one of the financing alternatives for Indonesia's energy transition involving multiple parties and multiple financing pathways. Basically, this document is a non-binding investment plan that can be used to guide implementation of all JETP financing efforts. Therefore, this document does not constitute a loan agreement.
The CIPP is not a government document. This investment plan has been written based on the inputs of many parties that have been coordinated by the JETP Secretariat in a consultation process with various stakeholders, in particular, many agencies and institutions within the Government of Indonesia. The CIPP document is a strategy document that the Government of Indonesia will use as a basis for power sector planning and policymaking as part of the JETP process.
